UNREAL FELLOWSHIP - WINTER 2021
After an amazing intensive 5 week/ 8 hour a day course with the amazing folks at Epic Games, Peter Gagnon is now officially an Unreal Fellow. The Fellowship is a 5 week blended learning experience designed for experienced industry professionals in film, animation, and VFX to learn what goes into creating world-class virtual production pipelines and how to deploy them.

It was an absolute pleasure to Direct this amazing script by Elise Valderrama. Set in a small NYC apartment kitchen it delves into the attraction and shared by two co-workers that is shadowed by the past and the present. Masterfully personified by Mark Dunn and Elise Valderrama with intimate shots by Justin Lee and perfect Production Design by Christa Brunks.

For nearly two decades in film, Peter Gagnon's work has been a part of some of our most cherished cultural icons, from The Electric Company to The Avengers. He is a Director/ Visual Effects Supervisor/ Virtual Production Supervisor and is also the owner of GiantVFX, a Film Production &Visual Effects company. Recently he worked on the opening titles of the Marvel film Black Widow.
From early 2010 to November 2012, Peter was the staff Visual Effects and Live Action Director for Perception, an award-winning visual effects company. There he directed over 15 different spots, commercials, promos, and insert pieces. He was enormously proud to create vfx shots and work on the feature films; The Avengers, MIB 3, The Europa Report, and Iron Man 3. He also worked on the Pro-Max Award-nominated commercials for the Speed Channel and the "Tailored To You" campaign for Hiscox, which received 3 Bronze Telly Awards.
Before Perception, Peter was the VFX Supervisor with Sesame Workshop on the television show The Electric Company from 2008-2010, where he was nominated for Emmy Awards for Seasons One and Two. The Electric Company is now one of the most highly nominated children's shows of all time.
Peter was with Black Watch Productions for 7 years and served as the staff editor, producer, director and VFX artist. Peter went to Columbia College in Chicago and studied Film Directing, Writing and Cinematography
